Scam Phone Number 9125855288, Derek Johnson said his daughter was really 15 and wanted $5,000.
This person (1-912-585-5288) said that I talked to his daughter off of a dating website, and that although she told me she was 18, her "father" said that she was really 15, and that if I did not pay him $5000.00 that he was going to turn me into the police. He sounded like a black man and had a very bad grammar and could not spell out complete words like 'please', he seemed to be really quick at convincing me that I committed some sort of crime and used scare tactics into pressuring me into doing whatever he said. He also kept wanting to call and not text though he seemed very capable of texting, I'm assuming that he just didn't want to leave a trail.
He said that his wife was hysterical about the whole thing and that she wants to go to the cops, however he believes that Im a reasonable man and that he could work out a deal with me to help me out.
He said that if I pay him $5000.00 that he would forget about the whole thing like it never happened, which I told him that I could only pay $2,500 which he was quick to accept which led me to looking up to see if this was a scam.
I found 3 other stories of the exact thing happening so I told him that I was not going to pay him anything and that I knew this was a scam. He told me he called the police in 3 different cites and I made fun of him for it so he started threatening my life and threatening to blow my head off if I didn't pay him.

QUOTE FROM FBI's ALERT:
Don’t Become a Victim of Sextortion
Special Agents and other investigators experienced in online child sexual exploitation cases offer these simple tips for young people who might think that sextortion could never happen to them:
- Whatever you are told online may not be true, which means the person you think you are talking to may not be the person you really are talking to.
- Don’t send pictures to strangers. Don’t post any pictures of yourself online that you wouldn’t show to your grandmother. “If you only remember that,” Meyer said, “you are probably going to be safe.”
- If you are being targeted by an online predator, tell someone. If you feel you can’t talk to a parent, tell a trusted teacher or counselor. You can also call the FBI, the local police, or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children’s CyberTipline.
- You might be afraid or embarrassed to talk with your parents, but most likely they will understand. “One of the common denominators in the Chansler case,” Meyer noted, “was that parents wished their daughters had told them sooner. They were very understanding and sympathetic. They realized their child was being victimized.”
