Scam Phone Number 8882463799, Erick Smith, Pacific Group. they dont exist at the given address! SCAM.
I received a call from 888 246 3799 on 11/23/15 and they left a voice mail. This voice mail was in a per-recorded voice saying it was Erick Smith trying to call me. It did say my name but the last name it used was my last name 8 years ago. It said this was my last notice and they will be mailing info and will be verifying my address and employment. Oh and if I have received anything from them to refer to my local Magistrate. I called it back and played with them long enough for them to tell me that it was in reference to a fraudulent bank account and then asked me to verify my birthday. Yeah not so much. I told them that I was not going to give my birth date to someone calling me. They then hung up.
I called back a 2nd time and asked for their website. The guy said he could help me. I said no I just wanted their website. He then told me they didn't have one. I said your a cooperation and don't have a website? He again said no and the he could help me. I then asked for their address so I could write them. He gave me the address of 1000 NW St Suit 1200 Wilmington De 19801. I then asked who I would need to address my letter to? Like the CEO or something. The guy hung up.
I then googled mapped the address and found the Buildings Name by street image and number for if I was interested in renting a office space from the building owners. I called them and asked if they could tell me of a company that was located in one of their buildings in Wilmington. They said they would transfer me to the managers suite there for the leasing company and see if they could help. They also gave me their local offices # at 3022954800. Now this number is for Regus, the name of the Building in question. They transferred me and I asked if they had anyone offices there for Pacific Group?
The man on the other end looked and said there was no one in the building by that name and he was in suit 1200. He then said a lot of scammers use his office suit as a scam address because its for the leasing office of the building. I ended my call with him by thanking him and then jumped on here and posted this info for all to see.
I hope this helps for anyone else getting calls from this #. I also hope it gave you ideas of how you can look into who is calling on your own. Like by calling back but not giving any info. Asking for their website or address. Using google maps to see the address and see if it in a large corporate building. Getting their main office # and asking to have them verify if they really have a business by that name in there building. So forth so forth. Good Luck. And always question who is calling you before giving out information.

Thanks M, for the extremely helpful post which exposes the scam calls from 888-246-3799. It would help users identify scam calls, easily, if they follow your instructions!
They assume different names like Pacific Group, Atlantic Group etc while calling. . The calls are being made by criminals who run call centers on foreign shores, impersonating law firms or debt collectors, with the sole objective of defrauding law-abiding, tax paying Americans.
Their empty threats of serving, arrest, legal action etc should be dealt with the contempt they deserve.
DON’T get fooled by CALLER ID which may display a LOCAL AMERICAN NUMBER. Scammers call using VOIP and they are able to change the caller ID, to any number that they wish to display.
The best method to stop these scam calls is to be aggressive and tell the caller you are aware of the scam and their calls have already been reported to the police and are being taped
Don’t leave them, if they call again. Scammers, THEY deserve to be cussed off. Let’s not be gentle anymore. Treat fraudsters with a string of choices expletives.
