Scammers have been calling people and intimidating them to pay money that they do not owe. Don't reveal and personal information. Be curt. Ask the caller to send paperwork by mail and tell point blank that there is no use calling you without a written notice, to prove the alleged debt. Add in good measure that the call is being taped as "advised" by the Sheriff's office since there are too many scam calls, these days!!
Once a scammer realizes that the target can't be foxed to pay up, they would let go!
