Scam Phone Number 8442283493, First Recovery Associates says they will be taking me to court. FAKE.
Received a call to my family members and myself regarding a fake claim threatening court over payday loans that dont exist and are not on my credit report.
JWard Reported: First Recovery Associates? Calling about a pay day loan from 2012, that I never opened. Mr/Ms. said that they will be taking me to court. The company did not have any supporting documents. They explained they would present them in court.
B Parks Reported: First Recovery Associates? Received calls starting on January 2nd, 2016. First number that called was 8653200038 and I didn't answer. After not getting an answer from me they called my adult daughters private cell phone, but left no message. The following day they called again and I answered. I couldn't understand the person on the other end and assumed it was a telemarketing call. Couldn't understand why they would also call my daughters phone as she does' live in the same state as I do. This # again called my daughter left a message stating that they were trying to contact me and gave her a case# as they said they were trying to collect an unpaid debt.
They were told I did not have any outstanding debt. To stop calling myself and my family. On January 6, 2015 I received a call from 8442021613 and again didn't answer. They proceeded to call my daughter and left a case number along with my full name stating they were trying to collect an unpaid debt. I called this number back and spoke with a person who had a strong accent but I could actually understand. She said I owed $500 on a online payday loan and needed to pay it immediately or I would be arrested and put in jail. I told her I had no online payday loan and they were a scam. She hung up on me. January 7th at 1:44PM I again received a call, but from 8442283493. I ignored the call and my daughter called stating that she was left another voice message with the case number and my full name stating I was delinquent on a debt and they were trying to collect. When I called the number back I spoke with a very American, English, speaking person. I started to inquire about his supposed debt and was told it was an online payday loan from January 2012. She couldn't give me a day. It was with Lazer Lending and she told me they were collecting for that delinquent debt. I told her I had no debt with Lazer lending. they rattled off my SS number, knew my full name, address, had my daughters private cell phone number and on my last conversation rattled off my bank name.
sharon Reported:first recovery. they said that I took a pay day loan in 2011 told them I did not, but they had my ssn how did they get that.
CHRISTOP Reported: First recovery associates. Refused to give me info where they got my phone number and ss# .saying I owe for a payday loan from 2012 which I never got
Jdoe Reported: First recovery associates. Saying owe money to people did not owe and no info sent to mailing address prior to alleging going to court

When someone demands payment of old debt (may be real or unreal) you should check your credit report to see whether it's actually on it, or not.
If the credit report does not state the debt at all, there is no need for you to pay even if you are convinced the debt is real, unless you are in a mood to pay it off!
There are thousands of illegal payday loan lenders who are not licensed to lend. Since they are not licensed they can't register themselves with credit rating agencies and hence can not report loan defaults.
They may try to recover the debt illegally. They may threaten to sue, but they cannot and will not, since they are illegal in the first place and hence can not approach courts!
If you want to know whether a lender is licensed to do business in your state, verify the information with your state banking regulator (www. consumerfinance.gov/askcfpb/1637/how-do-i-find-my-states-bank-regulator.html ) or attorney general (www. naag.org/current-attorneys-general.php )
