Scam Phone Number 8003919038, Technical Support 800-391-9038 called to help me with my computer.
I had not made a service request! Got this unsolicited call from "Technical Support" wanting to help me with my computer. I said I haven't made a service request. He said they work for Microsoft and this is a call in response to automated error messages sent by my computer. Wow!! Told them I haven't observed any issue. The guy offered to show me the errors and wanted me to open "Event Viewer" ...Had thick accent. I thought enough is enough and hung up on him.

Romance, Love, Dating Scam
It would be extremely unwise for someone to trust an unknown caller and give him access to computer. It’s as good as inviting a thief home and letting him carry out his ‘activities’, without any hindrance!
These foreign scammers are known for injecting virus into victim’s computer and completely damaging it. They will then offer to clean it, for a large Fee.
Even after the payment of Fees, users have found to their horror, that nothing has been done to remove the infections.
The error that we make when we receive such a call, is in presuming that the call is arriving from within the US and hence could probably be legit.
Don’t get carried away by the local number displayed. Scammers from Asia who run call centers spoof the phone number using software, to make it appear local.
