The US Treasury or the IRS will never make, “out of the blue” calls, demanding payment. Payments will never be accepted by cash cards like Greendot Moneypak.

File a complaint at the website of the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml
File a complaint using the FTC Complaint Assistant; choose “Other” and then “Imposter Scams.” If the complaint involves someone impersonating the IRS, include the words “IRS Telephone Scam” in the notes.
You should forward scam e-mails related to tax / IRS to phishing@irs.gov.
