Scam Phone Number 7406927480, Alex Ferguson - U S Treasury - complete BS! Heavy accented male.
Above individual left two (2) messages on my home voicemail. Same script as reported elsewhere here. Both the caller ID and the number he left were the same.
I returned the call later that evening. Another male with a thick accent said that Alex "...was dead." When I asked him to repeat it, he said, "Dead. RIP." When I asked if I could talk with someone else, he said that everyone was "...at the funeral." Amazingly fast funeral arrangements from just earlier that same day.
I called back the following day, again asking for Alex Ferguson. This time was told he was "...on the other line." Now it's a miracle that he's come back from the dead to scam again.
David Reported: Alex Ferguson from the US Treasury. Heavy accented male who claims to be from the US Treasury informing me that there was law enforcement action against me which was executed by the U.S. treasury and if we ignore it would mean I would be charged with a Federal Criminal Offense. Called 5 times on July 2, 2015. Called back once and the person on the other end of the line hung up.
