Nuisance Call
Scammers are targeting seniors without any remorse. The scammer may claim that the device is FREE or it has been paid for. This is just a ruse. Seniors are enticed to part with important private information which is used later, to commit ID theft or drain bank accounts.
Scammers grab victim’s Medicare ID and will charge the item under Medicare
OR
They will steal victim’s bank account or card number for ‘records or verification’ and then set up a subscription payment with the victim losing cash every month till the fraud is detected.
