Scam Phone Number 7074542010, COLLECT PROS bogus over due balance on US Weekly magazine $332.50.
On 5/6/2015 I received a debt collection notice for over due balance on US Weekly magazine for $332.50. Never ordered or received said magazine. Also receive several calls a day in reference to said debt. Preposterous, how many years would it take un-paid to reach such a balance. Anyway, these scammers should be prosecuted for causing people such stress and time.
Kcarlson Reported: collect pros says i owe $365.75 FOR US Weekly Magazine. i never ordered this or received

Billing Scam
You don't have to pay a bill just because someone demanded payment! You should dispute the demand to pay.
The scammers look for people who might reach out to their wallets, quickly! The scammers are running a huge racket sending thousands of letters to consumers. The letter is just a scam. It's not sent after validating whether you had an unpaid subscription or not! It's sent to everyone in a large list of addresses that the crooks have got hold of.
Since this is now a widespread scam. It's a misuse of the US Postal Service and hence a "Mail Fraud", report it to the US Postal Inspector at: ehome.uspis.gov/fcsexternal/default.aspx Please fill in the form and select Type of Mail Fraud Complaint: as "False Bill or Notice"
Select Scheme Type: as "Collection Agency Notice"
It may eat up a few minutes of yours! But if everyone who is reading this, could proceed and submit complaint, the Postal Inspector would have the company investigated. Go ahead!
Apart from this do the following:
Go to: www.collectpros.com/dispute/
Enter the Reference Number in the Letter
You will now see a page with your name. At the bottom of the page Click on "Report Fraud"
In the "popup form", add the following sentence:
Reference Number:
Your Name:
Disputed Amount:
I wish to firmly reject your demand to pay the so called "amount Due" since I have not ordered the said Magazines. This is a case of fake and fraudulent demand and in addition to totally rejecting your claim has also reported the fraud demand letter sent by you, to the postal inspector for "mail fraud". You have no reason contacting me for this payment other than to attempt to extract money by fraud.
The demand to pay under the above reference number shall be permanently removed and any further attempt by you will be reported to the FBI
...............................
Suggest to alert FBI right now at: stips.fbi.gov/
Explain briefly about the fraud letter. Give the Company Name, Amount Claimed, Refrence Number, Address given in letter and also copy and paste the URL of this page.
(If hundreds of complaints reaches them, the FBI would act)
