Scam Phone Number 5595884761, recorded message when I answered said they were with the US Treasury .
I returned the called and it was answered by a live person with the same voice on the recording "US Treasury".
I hung up. But the recorded message they left said that I needed to return call that this was their 2nd attempt to get a hold of me. Call back so I could help them help me.
JW Reported: They called and left a message trying to get me to call back or face prosecution.
lori Reported: 5595884761. Claiming to be IRS. It was a male with middle-eastern accent who left a VM that it was my last chance and it was extremely important to respond, that a felony conviction was pending with the magistrate judge...
God help the uninformed who may comply with the scammers request! Arrest these people already!!!

The US Treasury or the IRS will never make, “out of the blue” calls, demanding payment. Payments will never be accepted by cash cards like Greendot Moneypak. This scam thrives due to a large part of the American population being unaware, of how the legal process relating to inaccurate tax filings, work. The IRS will first contact you by regular mail, not by phone. The IRS won’t threaten arrest, deportation, wage garnishment or loss of a driver’s license. The IRS won’t ask you to share credit card information over the phone nor ask you to pay right away For more info on this scam and links to file complaints with the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration, please go through the Article at: www.scamcallfighters.com/Dont-fall-for-voicemails-purportedly-from-the-IRS-about-to-sue-or-arrest-you--blog-75.html |
