Scam Phone Number 4022184671, Marcus Brown, Office of financial affairs? Fake collector 402-218-4671.
scam - pay day loan fake collector. Trying to scare people. Left a message stating I am out of compliance about a case and that I need to call his office immediately. The number left was 402-218-4671. Sounds quite intimidating! Hope no one falls for this stupid scam. Debt collectors have to write to you. You can't be getting calls about debt that you are unaware of!!

When someone demands payment of old debt (may be real or unreal) you should check your credit report to see whether it's actually on it, or not.
If the credit report does not state the debt at all, there is no need for you to pay, unless you are in a mood to pay it off!
There are thousands of illegal payday loan lenders who are not licensed to lend. Since they are not licensed they can't register themselves with credit rating agencies and hence can not report loan defaults.
They may try to recover the debt illegally. They may threaten to sue, but they cannot and will not, since they are illegal in the first place and hence can not approach courts!
If you want to know whether a lender is licensed to do business in your state, verify the information with your state banking regulator (www.consumerfinance.gov/askcfpb/1637/how-do-i-find-my-states-bank-regulator.html) or attorney general (www.naag.org/current-attorneys-general.php)
