Scam Phone Number 3602046327, Active Warrant for Arrest due to a failed Jury Duty appearance.

Claims to be Lt. Mark Flowers at Sherriff's station and that there is an active warrant out for your arrest due to a failed court date appearance for jury selection. Your name was called out by the judge during the selection process and a bench warrant was issued for your arrest at that time. You need to turn yourself in at this time or you will be arrested, booked, processed upon notice for failure to appear. Caller states must turn yourself in, go through booking process or pay on warrant at police department. Pay voucher of $1,342 at Sherriff's department then take to the receptionist at court house for a full refund.

THIS IS A SCAM. CALL YOUR LOCAL DISTRICT COURT AND REPORT IT TO YOUR LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT.

Thanks for exposing this jury duty scam phone call. The objective is to intimidate potential victims into paying money, to avoid being arrested.

The police will not call residents about jury duty or ask anyone to obtain a prepaid card to pay a fine to avoid arrest.

If you miss a jury duty, formal summons may be issued to force you to appear before the court and provide an explanation for your absence. (no phone calls are made) Depending on the circumstances, you may be required to serve on another jury or even fined for contempt.
