Scam Phone Number 3018040153, Roger Bennett, Miles, Copeland and Associates # 301-804-0153.
Got a call from 301.804.0153 from a guy stating his name was Roger Bennet with Miles, Copeland, and Associates regarding someone trying to serve me papers. So I started asking questions about the company and when I pulled them up it said they were located in GA. I pulled the address and it came up as MetroPCS and I told "Roger" that and he said it wasn't MetroPCS, so I placed him on hold while I called the number for MetroPCS and "Roger" hung up. Then. he called back while I was on the line with MetroPCS and I told him to stay on the line because I was going to speak with someone at MetroPCS to verify.
The caller said nothing and I blocked the number. I remember about 10 years ago I was called on my job phone and they had my name and last four of my social (different scammers) and they were saying how they would come to my job and have me arrested. Now, even though I worked at a courthouse and knew I didn't have any debts, the person on the other end scared me to the point I quickly paid over $700 to them. Yeah, I got the letters stating that my debts were cleared and thank you for responding to this matter so quickly, only to learn later that I fell for a scam as did many of my co-workers. This Roger Bennett is doing the same thing however I am older, wiser, and very tight with my money. Plus, I have no debts so there's that peace of mind. Beware and please ask questions while talking to these people.
AMP Reported: SOME WOMAN JUST CALLED MY PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT THREATENING WITH SOME KIND OF CASE NUMBER - SAYS THEY'LL COME TO MY PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT - I'D LIKE TO SEE THAT - THESE PEOPLE NEED TO BE STOPPED - I HAVE THE ADDRESS OF WHERE THE CALL WAS FROM AND LEGAL PROCESS WILL START ON MONDAY SO WATCH YOURSELF 301-804-0153
Karen Reported: I don't know if it is a scam but I got a phone call from 301-804-0153 from Rodger Bennett, Miles Copeland and Associates telling me I owe them money and they will be filing papers. And this is from 2009 so how do I find out if this is legit or a scam.

Fake Alert Message
This is just a scam. Scammers call hundreds of people and repeat the same story "that you owe money from 2009" or something like that. Few people who might have some back payment (need not be from 2009!) could get excited and start talking! And the scammer obtains information from the victim! And uses the info to further the scam!
Sometimes, these crooks could have shreds of personal or old loan info. Your debt will not go away by paying off crooks!
Never divulge any personal info. Flatly deny the debt. Ask the caller to stop calling you and instead, send you a letter in mail (not email) as required by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Don't give email id nor your address. A genuine collector is supposed to have enough info to send you a notice. (And in this case you can be 100% certain, you won't receive a legitimate notice)
Scammers use high sounding names like “ Miles Copeland and Associates” to give the call a look of legitimacy. If only people who get such threatening calls could ask the caller about his whereabouts, the scam will unfold. The crooks will refuse to give office location or provide address of an office which has nothing to do with them. All that we need to do to expose scam, is to grill the caller. If the call was legit, the caller would have been happy to provide information.
Consumers should NEVER PRESUME that they are being called, in relation to any old debt that they may have. The callers make wild phishing calls to thousands of numbers hoping to scam, a few. Or they might have bought old loan portfolios from original lender and trying to collect unlawfully. They may have only sketchy info, if at all they have any. In either case, you are NOT liable to pay till you get a Valid Notice in the mail.
IMPORTANT: You should NEVER pay any caller who refuses to send a Debt Validation Notice as per the format specified in FDCPA(Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) Don’t get alarmed by talk of, serving papers, arrest, court case, prosecution and such stuff! These are totally bogus claims made only to scare you!
If he calls you, even after your demanding a notice under FDCPA, remind him that it's a violation of law. And you will report the call to the FTC and the Attorney General's office.
