Scam Phone Number 2402048754, Scam to Get Credit Card Information by offering to reduce CC rate.
Automated message began when I answered the call. It stated they were calling to help reduce my credit card rate and that this involved the stimulus and to press 1 to talk to a representative.
I pressed 1 and an automated message answered that I was caller #8. Then a man answered who is not a native English speaker and quickly began speaking. At a pause, I asked him to repeat himself and he quickly hung up on me.
I do not have credit cards and know that this call was merely a scammer trying to gather information from me.

Billing Scam
The call is a scam. It’s an automated prerecorded call. The FTC advises “There are virtually no legitimate marketers trying to reach you to sell you something using a prerecorded call”
By enticing people with offer to lower interest rate, the scammers get the victim to reveal his personal & banking info apart from credit card details!
According to the FTC, the companies behind these Card Services Offers can’t do anything for you that you can’t do for yourself, for free. If you are not able to get the rates reduces with your card issuer, neither would they. These scammers try to obtain your card details and will steal money as ‘fees’. However, FTC’s Telemarketing Sales Rule prohibits companies that sell relief services like these rate reduction scams on the phone from charging a fee before they settle or reduce your debt.
You should file complaint with FTC, whenever you get a ‘Card Services’ call.
