Scam Phone Number 2145505041, 2145505041 being charged with Bank fraud. 202-417-2021 IRS collection.
This company calls and leaves a message that I am being charged with Bank fraud and that I must call immediately. They state that they are going to contact my employer to serve me with papers for this charge. I originally got a call 3 weeks ago from another number: 202-417-2021 IRS collections. I reported them to the BBB, the FTC, and IRS. They have been unable to get any information and the last known address for this company is no longer valid. I do not owe the debts that they are trying to collect and have not received anything in the mail from them. These so-called debt collectors are scammers and I don't know how to stop their calls except to change my phone number. Please help.

Fake Job Offer
A debt collector could sue someone who has defaulted on payments for breach of contract and civil fraud, but they cannot have him /her arrested. They can only ask a court for damages. The use of word "arrest" in their conversation, gives away the con game, that these extortionists are playing out
Report the call to the Sheriff’s Office and also inform the caller (if he calls again) that the call is being taped as advised by the Police and he will be caught.
Another important trademark of scam is that the callers would not identify themselves, their office and it's physical address. (They might give fake details which you can easily determine as bogus if you check online)
You should ask them to send a Debt Validation Notice to you by mail (Don't give your address. They are supposed to have it) within 5 days of the phone call. Tell them that you are aware of legal provisions and will only respond to Debt Validation Notice sent in accordance with FDCPA. Period!
The best way to stop these calls is to be aggressive and tell the caller you are aware of the scam and the call has already been reported to the police and all his calls are being taped. Be strong and talk to them with authority and force.
These crooks need people who get easily scared so that they can be forced to pay. They will not pursue and waste time with people who are smart.
