Scam Phone Number 2022412126, Peter Katz, man with thick accent said there is an arrest warrant.
He said there is a warrant out for my arrest and he will be sending this to the local police. He said I have committed tax fraud and the IRS has initiated action.
Told me I would be sent to jail and I could apply for "restitution" and if there is no criminal record, I may be let off. Told me to call with a case #back ... I was shaken to the core...
talked to my dad who had served in the police force. He put me on to a friend of his and soon the scam was exposed!!
Don't call back... the story is pure bull.... the calls are from out of country...and they know how to hide the foreign number and display a local one instead

Phone Phishing (Vishing)
There is absolutely no need to call back since the caller has nothing to do with the IRS. The IRS will never call anyone “out of the blue” and ask to pay. IRS will send letter by mail. Tax payers will get enough time to respond and dispute claims.
If you get a call from someone claiming to be from the IRS, ask his name, a call back number (but should not call back) and employee badge number all of which he is bound to provide. (Crooks would provide fake badge numbers)
If he provides details, contact the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 to determine if the caller was indeed the one he claims to be and whether IRS has a legitimate need to contact you.
