Scam Phone Number 18592080382, Michael Thomas from Mediation Services SCAM 1-859-208-0382.
This man Michael Thomas left me a message on my phone in a deep firm tone as if to intimidate me. He sounded like a police man speaking. It sounded like a recording. He mentioned I had a case pending in there office and that if I did not get in contact with him today with either myself or my lawyer, then he would go ahead and file with courts today and that I should govern myself accordingly! Lol
Lame!! No rights or recordings stated to me prior to the call. When I called the number and African American ( I think) responded with a case from 2012 stating I took out a loan for $999.00 ( weird amount). And they even went as far a repeating my old address and phone number and the last four of my SS# (scary crap). Additionally, she mentioned they had sent out many 10 day notices to my old address and that they attempted to collect from my Wells Fargo account that was closed. Lol
I then asks from whom the originator was and the original amount taken out on the loan, to Include dates.. No such response given! I mentioned I worked for the GOV in the past and and then she replied; then you must know. Hahaha ... What a joke! Lastly, she said they are filing with the state and a warrant will be issued for my arrest! :(... Really!!??

Online Shopping Scam
Scammers attempt to con people via phone, text or email into paying money that they do not owe .
You should refute all charges leveled against you and also ask them to send Debt Validation notice with every detail that is required to be furnished, under the Federal Debt Collection Practices Act including but not limited to the amount owed, calculation for amount owed, proof that you agreed to pay amount owed, identity of original lender, proof that the Statute of Limitations has not expired, license number of the debt collector and proof that the debt collector is licensed to collect in your state.
Ask them to send the Debt Validation notice by post (not email) in accordance with the FDCPA.
Don’t give them any information including your address, your place of work etc. Do not admit or make any promise to pay. (If the caller is a genuine debt collector he will record the call and use the info against you)
Even a genuine debt collector may not have intimate details of the debt, usually just a final figure. SO it’s usually impossible for them qualify the debt as real and hence can not collect since they can not prepare paperwork to approach court! Don’t aid a debt collector by divulging your personal information which he will be after.
A debt collector can’t threaten you with criminal charges. That’s a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. If anyone threatens, you can presume that he is a scammer.
You can be 100% assured that you will never receive a legally valid Debt Validation Notice from them, since the callers are scammers who have nothing to do with your loan, if you had one!
