Scam Phone Number 18442797431, NCO for Vin Capital LLC. Claimed deposited 300 into my account in 2012.
I was contacted by NCO, the financing department, on behalf of Vin Capital LLC for a payday loan that I allegedly took out in 2012. Said that I have breached my contract and that my loan balance is now $595. Said that Vin Capital deposited 300 into my account back in 2012 and that I'm delinquent.
Even was able to give me the last four digits of my account number with my bank as well as my previous address. What i noticed also was that they were calling me by my maiden name, not my married name. Then said that my husband probably took it out then...um, NO, we weren't even married back then! Nice try guys...but I'm not an idiot.

These calls are arriving from illegal call centers in foreign countries and have nothing to do with you. They repeat the same bogus story to everyone that they call, posing as attorneys or debt collectors. The call appears to be local since the crooks manage to spoof the phone number displayed.
The best way to stop these calls is to be aggressive and tell the caller you are aware of the scam and the call has already been reported to the police and all of their calls are being taped. Be strong. Raise your voice.
These crooks need people who get easily scared so that they can be forced to pay. They will not pursue and waste time with people who are smart.
