Scam Phone Number 18442566385, NRA or NRA & Associates - Division of Pre-Trial Processes.
I received voicemails from these people claiming that they were the Division of Pre-Trial Processes for the state of Pennsylvania. They had tons of information about me and accused me of theft by deception, attempt to defraud etc.
They said they had 4 allegations against me and were going to proceed with legal action. They threatened to serve me at my residence or at the place of my employment. I argued with them for a long time on the phone and questioned whether or not it was a scam. They made me verify my SS#.
I was so scared and I couldn't remember if I had ever defaulted on a payday loan. I didn't know if it was real. A "supervisor" got on the phone and said they wouldn't send me any written validation of the debt because they already tried to send it to an address I haven't lived at for almost 4 years and eventually I gave them my bank card number and set up bi-weekly payments to come out. 5 days later I got another call from them stating that I owed on another account that I didn't recognize. I said it wasn't mine and the lady was very rude to me and asked if I refuse to pay, she then told me to get a good attorney, because I was going to court.
They also said that the payment arrangement I made with them for the other alleged account didn't exist. I was so shaken that I couldn't sleep and I have been upset for the past 2 weeks. I reported them to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, who could not verify if they were real, I reported them to the FTC and filed a police complaint. They called me again today to "remind" me that my next payment would come out tomorrow. I cancelled my bank card and talked to my bank about it.
I am terrified about what they are going to do. I know its probably not real but I can't seem to let it go. Someone please help clarify if they have heard of this company or if they are legitimate. I don't want to keep living in fear.

Hi Mike, you have allowed yourself to be badly scammed by crooks who have nothing to do with you or your loans!
Mile, please be aware that this is a very common scam. Thousands of people are called everyday with the same story and the criminals wait for people who are naive enough to fall for the scam bait.
There is no case, no paperwork. Nothing. Block the number. Don’t talk to them. Hang up and block if they call from a new number.
The more you engage in talk with scammers, the more you will end up revealing about yourself and your family. Scammers will use the information you gave them, when they call back later and make the “matter” look real!
If there was anything legal that concerns you, you would have received a notice in mail.
When such calls are received, deal with the callers firmly. Tell them that until and unless you receive a notice in mail, you will not take any action. And tell them that you are very much aware of fraud calls and the call is being taped and the recording will be filed with the Sheriff’s office.
Tell them that the call will be reported to IC3 as well as FTC.
Ask them to remove your number from their list and never call you again.
File Complaint with the FTC: www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/
Though it may be painful, go ahead and cancel the card after filing formal police complaint that you have been conned. Help the police to find out whether the callers are from within the country (little chance!) or outside.
