Tickets Scam
The messages declaring that you have won a cruise or a vacation, is a well planned scam. Scam artists set up computer system to spew out thousands of messages expecting potential victims to respond.
Victims end up paying the so called tax or port fees of $59.95 x 2 apart from exposing their credit cards to potential misuse. Scammers will not reveal initially that you need to attend a sales promotion to receive cruise tickets. Only couples having “major” credit cards are allowed in! The presentation will soon turn out to be for an overpriced timeshare or vacation club. The victims are psychologically pressured to sign up and their cards are charged, instantly! Avoid responding to unsolicited txt messages and phone calls, offering freebees
