Text Message (SMS) Scam
Most of the mystery shopper programs are absolute fraud just like this one.
The scam operator would send out bad checks and ask victim to retain some money and send balance immediately, to someone else, even before the check finally clears (That may take a week to 10 days after cashing) The check of course bounces later and the ‘Mystery Shopper’ is left with a big hole in his pocket
Generally, the secret shopper offers are sent by "fly by night" operators who vanish after running the scam for few weeks before the law enforcement gets wind of the scam.
