Scam Phone Number 07393785245, Refund scam asking me if I had taken out a loan & to confirm post code.
A male from what an overseas call center kept asking me if I had taken a loan out and then to confirm my home post code. I repeatedly asked if they were calling for PPI and each time he refused to answer. He eventually hung up when I kept repeating the question to him.

Police Scam
The call is a random phishing call looking for people who might fall for the bait. The scammer will proceed to gather substantial personal & financial information and extract advance fees too from the victim!
Genuine companies who assist in claiming a refund from financial firms guilty of mis-selling PPI, do not take fees in advance. Most of the unsolicited PPI calls are made by unreliable (possible fraudulent) agencies who aim to line their pockets with advance fees from gullible consumers.
It’s likely that some of the “PPI Claim Assistance” websites in the UK, have outsourced cold calling to India, Philippines and other countries where the labor is cheap. In the US, the FTC has cracked down on companies which had outsourced debt collection calls to India. It’s time OFCOM (www.ofcom.org.uk) became proactive to save consumers from the menace of unsolicited PPI calls.
